ROFR’d: Verb. def: to screw over. Ex: ‘Bend over, grab your ankles and prepare to be ROFR’d.’
Do you know what causes slime? Slime grows best when excessive amounts of nutrients are available to it. And it’s amazing how thick and healthy the stench-filled SLIME has grown in Wisconsin Politics. Not only is this slimy stench alive and well, it is spreading across the State faster than Covid-19. If it wasn’t enough to make you sick, the whole process would really be a sight to behold.
I’d like to be able to tell you that rotten politics was only present in one party. But that’s not the case. If it were only one party, the other would crush the slime-filled, corrupt party and totally dominate State politics with the full backing of the GOOD people of the State. So the truth of the matter is that the leadership of BOTH parties have sold out the voters. For what? For the one nutrient that fuels the ever-thickening slime………….MONEY.
We’re not talking about a mere 20 bucks here. We’re talking about $60Million, $100Million or more. And that’s just the kickbacks…….the payoffs…….the lobbying fees…….the consulting contracts. And when the whole ROFR thing goes National, the taxpayers will be held up for $Billions. So “investing” a few $Hundred Million seems like chickenfeed.
Some recently received insider information has caused me to speculate some:
Has ROFR, under whatever name they are using today, already been strong-armed through the Assembly and ONLY waiting on the Senate to move?
Is the Nation-Wide effort to “ROFR” us all being coordinated through NCSL, The National Conference of State Legislatures? Gee, that name has popped up somewhere before. I wonder who is running that show.
Might there be a $100Million “Lobbying” or “Consulting” contract waiting (or already in place) for whoever is putting this all into place?
I think that it’s time that I make some money on this whole governmental corruption thing to. I’ve always liked bumper stickers and T-shirts. I think that I’ll sell both with the following theme:
“I WAS ROFR’d BY (Insert politician’s name here).
Given the definition of “ROFR’d” at the top of the page, some interesting graphics might also be fun.
