Accuracy matters to H.O.T. Government. We correct material errors as soon as we verify them, regardless of who identifies the mistake. A material error is one that would meaningfully change a reader’s understanding of the facts, attribution, chronology, or context of our reporting.
When we correct an article, investigation page, or other published item, we update the text, add a visible correction notice with the date, and briefly explain what was wrong and what is now correct. We preserve the integrity of the record—we do not silently rewrite published work without disclosure.
To request a correction, use our Contact page and include the URL of the item, the passage you believe is inaccurate, and any supporting documents or records we should review. Our editorial team will investigate and respond. If we disagree that a change is warranted, we will explain our reasoning. Clarifications that add context without changing the underlying facts may be handled as updates rather than formal corrections.
