If you read “Part 1”, you might think that I’m a half bubble off of plumb. But what if I’m not? If you have your head pulled out of……um……the sand and have taken a look around, what does the evidence tell you? Where are we headed?
The process of making any deal involves “selling.” “The Deal” can only be realized if all sides are convinced that “The Deal” is in their best interests. And that’s where the selling comes in. Trump is a master salesman. Of this there is no doubt. But has HE been sold on the concept of the pending FINANCIAL COLLAPSE of the United States AND The World? Yes, I’m sure that he is aware. But does he realize the severity of the situation enough to do something about it? HAS ANYONE ASKED HIM THAT QUESTION? Maybe THAT question and the answer to it are indeed the first steps.
But Trump is not the only one that needs to be “sold.” There is the SLIME (lobbyist and special interest) filled Swamp know as Capitol Hill that also must be convinced that “The Deal” is necessary AND in their best interests. But who is going to convince them? The obvious is Trump if he is in fact a believer. But he can never sell the goal of Fiscal Responsibility by himself. (STOP. “can never sell fiscal responsibility.” Why the hell not? The very thought that something so simple, so “common sense” has to be sold to our “leaders” really pisses me off!) He needs help. Your help. He needs your help to “sell common sense” to Congress. Ugh.
Fortunately, here in Wisconsin we have Ron Johnson. Senator Johnson is a realist and is fully aware of our pending financial ruin. He is on board to achieving fiscal responsibility. But where is Senator Baldwin? Has anyone asked her what she is willing to do to avoid financial collapse? Maybe you should ask? And what about your Congressman? Both Republicans AND Democrats? Ask the same question? And what of you, who live in other States? Same questions to the same politicians. If they won’t answer it in an appropriate manner, then perhaps their competition will. Be sure to point that out.
As in all deals, there is a price to be paid. In a good deal all parties see the benefits of the deal and are happy to pay said price. That is “The Art of the Deal.” It is up to President Trump to put “The Deal” together in form that will be acceptable to Congress. But it is up to us to tell both the President and Congress what terms of “The Deal” are acceptable to us. If you want a solution, make your voices heard in DC. If not, you can discuss it with “Max” in a year or so.
